Dr Chris Baysingar

Dr. Chris Baysingar, DVM

Dr. Chris Baysingar is a native of Galesburg and as of this year has completed 30 years as a practicing veterinarian. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology/Chemistry at Monmouth College, a Master's degree in Animal Science from Brigham Young University, and her Veterinary degree from the University of Minnesota.

She has practiced in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Utah, and Illinois. She has experience in companion animal medicine, including fur bearing pocket pets, large animal medicine and emergency medicine. She will be practicing companion animal medicine at our hospital and has a special interest in geriatric medicine, behavior, exotic animal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She has 18 pets of her own including 5 dogs, 4 of which are certified therapy dogs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits and hamsters.

Dr. Baysingar will be available Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, most Saturdays, and some Wednesdays. She is excited to meet and serve you and your pets at our clinic!

Dr. Welch

Dr. Brandi Welch

Dr. Welch graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2024. Prior to veterinary school, she received her Associate of Science degree from Black Hawk East in 2018 and a bachelor's degree in animal science from Iowa State University in 2020. Dr. Brandi is the daughter of Jim and Kerri Welch of Aledo Illinois. Dr Brandi loves her blue heeler, Roper Jane and her Quarter Horse, Blaze.

Outside of work she enjoys volunteering her time with 4-H and BHE, gardening, farming, and spending time with her family, friends, and her significant other, Garrett. Her special interests include preventative medicine and large animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Brandi is excited to meet your pets in the clinic or your livestock on a farm call!

Office Manager

Hilary is the Office Manager and a Veterinary Assistant and has been with Vet Care Associates since 2004. She has an Associate in Applied Science for Child Development from Carl Sandburg College. Hilary says that there is always something different that keeps her job interesting with new daily challenges that make her job very rewarding.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking any outdoor activity and spending time with her family. She has 2 dogs, Minnie a yellow lab, and Shine a black lab. She also has 2 cats, Tiny and Zebe.
